MikroTik CRS804‑4DDQ‑hRM (CRS804 DDQ) 1U Compact 400G Switch for AI and Data Center Network Upgrades

Designed for modern AI workloads and next-gen network upgrades

With rapid growth in AI compute clusters and all-flash storage solutions, businesses face higher demands for network bandwidth and forwarding performance. At the same time, small-to-medium data centers must balance device performance against rack space costs. MikroTik is now accepting pre-orders for its new 400G high-speed switch, the CRS804‑4DDQ‑hRM (CRS804 DDQ). This compact 1U half-width 400G switch delivers a cost-effective 400G networking solution tailored for AI clusters, high-speed storage, and small-to-medium data center environments.

Core Product Features

CRS804 DDQ breaks the traditional limitation of high-performance network devices occupying large rack space by adopting1U Rack-Mount ChassisDelivers full-line 400G forwarding in a compact form factor, balancing deployment density with business performance.

  1. Port specifications with flexible multi-rate adaptationThe device features 4 QSFP56-DD 400G high-speed ports and dual 1/10G Ethernet, making it ideal as a high-speed core or aggregation switch even in legacy racks. Each 400G QSFP-DD port is built from eight independent data lanes. This enables flexible breakout options, such as two 200G links for AI workloads or lower-speed connections like 100G or 40G. You can deploy the CRS804 DDQ in your existing network today and upgrade to higher speeds over time without replacing the switch. With appropriate breakout cables, the CRS804 DDQ connects to virtually any device with SFP or QSFP ports, regardless of generation.

  2. Hardware platform with line-rate, non-blocking forwardingEquipped with the Marvell 98DX7335 switching chip, a robust quad-core 2.0 GHz ARM CPU, 4GB DDR4 memory, and RouterOS v7. This delivers advanced traffic control, high-performance switching, and a familiar management environment trusted by users worldwide.

  3. Reliable hardware, 7×24 hours of stable operation.Designed for long-term reliability and low total cost of ownership, it features hot-swappable power supplies (included), a robust cooling system, and ultra-low power consumption of only 123 watts at full load during optical component installation. With an operating temperature range of ‑10°C to 60°C, the device adapts to complex data center environments, minimizing service interruption risks and ensuring continuous, stable operation.
